At Dedup.ing, we believe your data is yours. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information and the choices you have.

Data we collect and process

All deduplication is performed in your browser. When you use Dedup.ing to remove duplicates from a list:

  • Your list data is processed entirely on your device using client-side JavaScript
  • No list content is transmitted to our servers
  • Your browser handles all deduplication, filtering, and data transformations

Optional: Shareable results

If you choose to create a shareable result URL, we store:

  • Your deduplicated list (encrypted and stored on our servers)
  • A unique URL that allows you to share the results

You must explicitly opt in to create a shareable result. No data is sent to our servers unless you choose this feature. Shareable results expire after 30 days.

Analytics

We use Umami Analytics to understand how people use Dedup. Umami is a privacy-respecting analytics platform that does not use cookies or collect personally identifiable information.

  • We collect anonymous, aggregated usage data (page views, clicks, referrers)
  • No personal data, IP addresses, or list contents are logged
  • You can opt out by disabling JavaScript or using a privacy-focused browser

What we never do

  • We do not log or access the contents of lists you deduplicate (unless you create a shareable result)
  • We do not use your data for training, analytics, or any other purpose
  • We do not share your data with third parties
  • We do not use cookies to track you across the web
  • We do not sell your data

Your rights

If you create a shareable result and want to delete it, contact us at privacy@dedup.ing and we'll remove your data. If you have questions or concerns about your privacy, please reach out.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We'll notify you of changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of Dedup.ing after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
